FM Conway Awarded Key Contract Lots with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea

Leading infrastructure services company FM Conway has been appointed to Lots 2 & 3 of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Highways Maintenance Contracts 2025, to deliver key infrastructure works across the borough.

Lot 2 of the contract focusses on the routine and reactive maintenance of the borough’s structures, encompassing river crossings including the Albert and Chelsea bridges, as well as the Thames River wall. Lot 3 includes the maintenance and delivery of public realm projects, footway paving, carriageway surfacing and road marking, street lighting, and emergency and planned maintenance to the highways infrastructure.

The contract term which began in April 2025, and runs for five years with an optional three-year extension, continues the long-standing relationship between the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and FM Conway. The most recent contract period saw the delivery of the flagship Sloane Street public realm transformation, delivered in partnership with Cadogan, which demonstrated the high-quality resources and workmanship that FM Conway will be utilising over this new contract period.

With innovation and carbon reduction key themes throughout the tender process, FM Conway’s pioneering work with materials re-cycling, combined with its UKAS accredited laboratory facilities will deliver a sustainable approach to support the borough’s ambitions to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030. FM Conway is a PAS2080 certified contractor, its credentials in the management and reduction of carbon emissions independently verified by the British Standards Institute.
