FM Conway is supporting the Kickstart Scheme

FM Conway is supporting the government Kickstart Scheme which will provide young people with part-time employment for six months as part of a plan to create thousands of fully funded jobs across the UK during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Kickstart Scheme, which will begin in November, is part of the government’s ‘Plan for Jobs’ initiative and aims to create thousands of new fully funded jobs across the UK, with a particular focus on supporting young people to build their experience and help them move into sustained employment.

To support this great initiative, FM Conway is offering over 30 Kickstart placements across various divisions in their business, which have all been created specifically to support the scheme.

This will include providing a peer buddy to support each placement, as well as providing training and coaching for interview skills, CV writing, job hunting, office skills and access to the business’ e-learning platform. FM Conway will also be linking up with their industry contacts and Preferred Supplier List (PSL) agencies to help turn the Kickstarter’s skills and experience into employment.

This exciting opportunity is designed to give young people a valuable insight into the construction industry and the career opportunities available to them, in order to nurture the next generation of talent to realise their potential.

In total, FM Conway will be providing 37 Kickstart placements across the following divisions:

• Water & Drainage Management
• Finance
• HR
• Business Support
• A&A
• Permitting
• Marketing
• SHEQ
• Civil Engineering
