concrete convenience
Our mobile concrete batching vehicles have been specifically designed to manufacture any grade of concrete or mortar at the point of delivery using recycled aggregate. Unlike conventional ready-mix trucks, sand, aggregate and cement are transported dry, ready to be mixed when needed. There is a separate silo for cement and a built-in tank for water. The system is fully automated.
Mix proportions are set for the desired grade of
concrete and slump and can be tailored to suit our customers’ needs, allowing the delivery of varying concrete grades at different locations within any construction site, all from the same vehicle.
gully waste processing
Our unique drainage treatment plant is designed to process and treat gully waste and road sweepings and to render their constituents safe and suitable for reuse, with the result that less than 5% of drainage waste, mainly litter, is now disposed of in landfill. The plant is capable of treating 30,000 tonne of gully waste per year.
This innovative process, probably the first of its kind in the UK, both reduces the need for long distance transportation and enables the recovery of valuable aggregates, organics, hydrocarbons and even scrap metal. It is particularly suited to the urban environment where other known settlement techniques are not appropriate.
aggregate washing
The final link in our aggregate processing chain is our aggregate washing plant. This is designed to wash and size aggregates at breakneck speed, is capable of washing raw feedstock or crushed aggregate and produces up to 100 tonnes per hour of high quality recycled aggregates.
By constantly recycling water between our gully waste processing and aggregate washing plants, the amount of fresh water used during the washing process is minimal. The unique design of our two plants saves the annual use of approximately 24 million gallons of mains water.
foamway
Foamway is a revolutionary cold-lay bituminous macadam. It is an extremely versatile product with sound environmental credentials, since it is made from 100% recycled aggregate and the manufacturing process has a greatly reduced energy requirement.
Structural grade Foamway is designed to be laid shortly after manufacture and is an ideal alternative to conventional bituminous macadam or asphalt. Capable of withstanding high traffic loading within just 1 hour of laying, it remains flexible in terms of long term performance and moisture susceptibility.
Storage grade Foamway can be kept for up to 1 month under sheeted conditions and is ideal for footways and locations carrying light traffic.
