cleansing
sustainability
This generates considerable volumes of waste and the company has invested heavily in ensuring the whole method of drain cleaning is managed in a sustainable manner. This means that from the initial clean to the disposal of arisings we employ perhaps the most innovative and environmentally friendly methods in the UK.
capabilities
From deep vacuum cleaning to hand dig outs we can offer trained personnel and the right equipment for any drain-related maintenance task. With our ability to manage recovered waste that goes beyond the scope of the Landfill Directive, we can ensure an environmentally sustainable service from start to finish.
Our range of services includes gully cleaning, gully waste recycling, soakaway and catch pit cleaning, high pressure water jetting and sewer cleaning, liquid waste management solutions, oil interceptor cleaning, deep vacuum lifting, draining CCTV surveys, road sweeping and recycling of arisings, global positioning systems, cesspit cleaning, confined space entry and ‘one off’ cleaning solutions.
high specification fleet
The FM Conway fleet - one of the largest, specialised fleets in the South East - is based at strategic locations in London, Kent and Sussex, which ensures the vehicles are conveniently located to meet the needs of our
customer base.
The specification of vehicles includes water recycling units, 32 tonne ‘jet/vac’ super combination units with deep lifting vacuum capability, 18 tonne high and medium volume ‘jet/vac’ combinations and 15 tonne gully machines designed for operation in rural environments
or a restrictive urban street space.
gully waste recycling
Recognising the ever diminishing landfill capacity in the South East and the need to protect the environment, FM Conway have built a unique state-of-the-art gully waste recycling facility at Dartford. This manages our own waste streams and those of others in the same industry.
Our unique method of processing gully waste means 95% is recycled. We incorporate the grit and sand in our recycled concrete and asphalt production and use the cleaned water at our aggregate washing facility.
global positioning systems
With more than four years’ experience in this field, we are able to offer various technologies, from tracking vehicles and plotting asset positions, right through to full asset data recovery for insertion on GIS maps.
Data compatible with many key local authority operating systems can be accessed via IT links and, in some cases the internet. This ensures our operations are transparent and enables our customers to keep a constant check on our progress and our ability to deliver services.
