Merton Highway Works and Services Term Contract

Client London Borough of Merton

Overview

FM Conway has been delivering highways and infrastructure services to the London Borough of Merton for over 30 years. In 2012, we were awarded a new five year NEC3 Term Services Contract to carry out a broad spectrum of highway works and services within the borough. Our first major project was to prepare the local highway network for the Olympic Torch Relay and deliver the Olympic Route Network to facilitate secure access to the tennis competition at Wimbledon.

In order to demonstrate best value to the Council, we have maintained an efficiency saving register in partnership with the borough. Since 2012, we have achieved significant cost savings while maintaining all service levels above the contractual KPI standard. As a result of our excellent performance and wider contribution to the local community, FM Conway was recently recommended for a two year extension through to March 2019.

Community Engagement – Bromley North Village

Client London Borough of Bromley

Overview

Our planning process is designed to consider all relevant stakeholders, evaluate the impacts of our works upon them, and implement methods and controls to minimise disruption. In order to address the requirements of the local community and plan our works to reduce construction impacts, FM Conway engages directly with stakeholders affected by our works to gain an understanding of important local issues and priorities.

In addition to traditional forms of consultation and engagement such as letter drops and community notice boards, we utilise our Mobile Communications Unit to set up consultation areas in close proximity to major schemes. We seek to utilise existing forums such as residents associations and community meetings in order to communicate with stakeholders at their convenience and in familiar surrounding.
